Slide transitions don't work in earlier versions of PPT

I've just created a PPT in Office 2003 and when other users open it, the
mouse click transitions have all changed to "automatically after previous".
Would this be due to opening 2003 in earlier versions of PPT? Should I be
saving them in an earlier version? Seems the same problem occurs when
distributing it in a .pps format as well. Thanks in advance!

..ppt and .pps there is no difference in how the presentation works only on
how it opens. In your 2003 PowerPoint click on Tools, Options, Edit, and
under Disable new features checkmark the three options. This will make your
presentation compatible with earlier versions.
