Slide transition

If I set the slide transition to 1 second for all slides, with no other
activity (such as animation), why does the transition take longer than 1
second, such that a countdown of 1 minute takes something like 72 seconds?

Is the extra time taken by writing to the display?

Now, if the transition could be set to be less than 1 second...

Powerpower 2003, by-the-way.

Hi Brian

I would imagine it is to do with the time the actual transition takes to
happen. Have you tried 'no transition' and 'fast'? If you need an accurate
timer I would be tempted to use animations rather than transitions (for
example a circle with a one spoke wheel exit animation set to take 1
minute).

Yes, plus a one second time for each slide. If the "Automatically After"
time is set to zero, then you can see that the actual transition still
takes some time, so that would be added to the 1 second.

I was tempted to use animations on just one slide, but the thought of 60
stacked images and sorting them is a bit daunting!

However, there are examples of timers mentioned within this group, so I'll
look at those.

Thanks, Lucy.

Brian.
