Slide transition problem

I find that with some of my slides, instead of pressing the space bar once
to change to the next slide, I sometimes have to press the space bar twice
to get it to change. This only happens with some slides and I cannot for the
life of me work out why. It tends to be on slides where I have a number of
animated objects, but even so, it is still only on some slides. I press the
space bar to get each animated object to appear. Once the last one has
appeared, I push the space bar to change to the next slide and nothing
happens. I press it again and the slide changes to the next one. Can anyone
suggest what might be going on?

As you suspect, it probably has to do with your animations. I can think
of two things that might be happening. First, you might have one more
animation than you think. It might even be an object that you can't see.
The last space bar is triggering this animation even though nothing
changes on the screen. Second, your last animation might be something
that takes a long time. If you hit the space bar in the middle of an
animation, it will not take you to the next animation (or next slide), it
will take you to the end of the current animation. For example, try
animating something to fly in from the left very slowly. Before the
animation is complete, hit the space bar, and you will see the completed
animation.

The most common reason is:

If you duplicate an object on your slide and you do it with
copy 'n paste, keep in mind, that you will duplicate the animation
too!
In that case, you think the next is the transition to your next slide
but instead you have the last animation two times.
