Slide numbering

Greetings from downunder
If the pic totally fills the slide the slide number, while still there, is
no longer seen.
Is there a workaround for this so that the slide numbers always remain
visible?
Using XP Pro and Office XP

The numbering is applied through the footer and the footer is on your Slide
Master, and that is always the bottom layer of each slide.
So if you put images on your slide they will be placed on top of that.
The only thing I can think of to avoid this problem is to insert the image
on your slide as the background. To do that choose Format -
Background - Fill effects - Picture tab. Browse to your picture and select
it.
