Motion Paths

Carl

Greetings from Downunder.
We have some pics in 4 x 3 aspect ratio that have been stitched together to
make a panorama. When they are made to fit on a slide they give the
letterbox effect. If I enlarge them so that their height fills the slide
height then the width of the pic becomes twice the width of the slide, which
is what I want. I now want that pic to progress from right to left across
the slide, by using a motion path or something similar, and when the RH edge
of the pic reaches the RH edge of the slide I want the slide to stop moving,
and remain stationery on the screen. My problem has been that pic does NOT
stop -- in fact it continues going left until just a white, empty slide is
left, which will stay there until the next slide is selected.
Can anyone tell me what I have to do to make it work my way?
Using XP Pro plus SP2 and Office XP.
All help always appreciated.

Carl,

When I did something like this I had the following....

The picture had a 'motion path' applied.

My picture moved from right to left
The motion path had the red arrow end on the left side of the slide in
powerpoint
the green arrow start was on the far right of the slide

The custom animation was set to "motion path"
Right
with previous
unlocked
v.slow (or 1 minute)

no smooth or auto reverse (on the effect tab)
on the 'timing tab'

with previous
0 seconds
speed v.slow (or 1 minute)
repeat = none
untick -rewind when done playing

Cheers
