slide color palette

how do you remove the color palette from slide view in "Normal" view? it
takes up too much room on both sides of the slides, for the viewers of our
"standard" corporate slide presentations.
 
Not sure I understand the question, but if I do, then you just close the
task pane. Click the X in the upper right corner of the pane to do so.
