standard color palette for charts

Fabian

Hi,

I'm trying to set a standard color palette for charts in Powerpoint 2003. I
am able to alter the palette by opening the chart and clicking extras -
options - colors, but everytime I create a new chart, those colors are reset.
How can I assign standard colors for charts (for only this presentation)?

You cannot.

Well, let me amend that. You do get the slide color scheme colors
automatically. But if you need more colors than those, you're stuck with the
palette as-is, because, as you've found, even if you make changes to it, it
resets each time you create a chart.

You could make one chart, modify its palette, and then copy that chart and
change its data to create a new chart.

Here's info on slide color schemes in case you need it:
