slave harddisk

i have 2 hdd both NTFS formatted. while booting bios
could not see my slave hdd even if jumpers are setto
slave. any solutions?

Maybe its dead - I have certainly seen dead drives not detected by the BIOS
dead as in a dodo. Extinct.
 
Have you tried connecting it to your other IDE controller to see if it is
detected? If it is detected, your other controller may either be bad or
disabled in the bios. If it is not detected on either controller, you might
have a bad cable or the drive itself may not be working. Does the drive spin
up when you turn your computer on?
