Skipping sound

Hi,
I can play music files through my sound card no problem and the sound
is fine when I play a mini-DV tape in the camcorder.

When I capture video using Movie Maker (using firewire connection), the
video is fine but the sound skips repeatedly.

I have searched for an updated driver for my sound card but none
exists.

Any ideas?

If possible, try another computer to see if thats the problem or maybe try to
upload it again.
