Hi,

2.1 Ghz is pretty much average. Are you sure those aren't mini***.dmp files
in the C:\Windows\minidump folder? Those can be safely deleted. Also check
the \temp folder. If you set your folder options to see hidden and system
folders, you should also see $NtUninstallKBxxxxxx$ folders from Windows
Update, these can be safely deleted unless you want to retain the ability to
uninstall one of the updates.

My "windows" folder is 2.91GB (But I also have office XP installed which I'm
sure added some space as well as other programs like diskeeper and adobe
reader) many programs will install files to this folder.

Just to add to Rick's good advice, I recently did a clean install of XP
SP2. Without subsequent updates or programs installed, the operating
system took 2.25GB on the hard drive.

That size is normal for a Windows installation file. I would advise you that maybe in the near future to procure a larger Hard Drive. You and most people will eventually will need it. Software's and programs are getting bigger as the time goes on and by the end of next year the norm of a Hard Drive should be around 200G. The next generation of Windows (i.e. Vista ) will be around 2.5G just for the install CD by itself alone.
