Size of the windows file folder

I seem to be running out of space. I have a 4 gig hard drive and the
windows file folder is over 2 gigs alone. Is this a normal size for this
folder? If not, what can be removed from it to make it smaller?

Mine (including subfolders) is 1803 MB, 2206 MB including file
slack space.(*) Yours may be different because of different
installed programs (which put their DLLs in SYSTEM or SYSTEM32),
but it sounds like the right order of magnitude.


(*) My system came set up as FAT32 and I haven't changed to NTFS
yet.
