With XP Home Edition I have over 3000 images in Adobe Photoshop. How do I
determine the size of all these files? If very large would it be wise to
transfer them to a second drive other than the C drive?

Hi there!

the easiest way for you to find out their size is to place them all in
one folder. Then right-click that folder, select Properties.
This will bring up a window giving details about the folder including
how many items (images) you have in it, as well as the total size the
folder takes.

3000 seems like a relatively big number. Personally I would place them
somewhere else than the c: drive, unless it is really large.

Go to search, "Find" the the files, when search is complete, Ctrl+A to
select all, then R-click on the selected files and pick Properties, the
Dialog box will display the file count, total size and total size on disk.

Just Search for them, no need to move anything. Then do r-click,
properties after selecting all the found files.

Mike Hall's suggestion of trying Treesize was very powerful and did the
trick. Thanks Mike.
What about putting on a second (non c) drive? Good idea?
