Single Sign-On

We have SBS2003 with a domain of xxxx. We have a number of users that have laptops. Currently, we have two signons. One signon is for the user to sign on to the domain. The other signon is for them to signon to the local computer when they are working remotely.

I would prefer that the user have only one signon for either condition.

Is there a proper way to configure these desktops

Any help would be appreciated

If you are running Active Directory (which i imagine you are), logons are
cached automatically for about 10 logons. So if they disconnect from the
domain, they can still log on using their domain credentials. You can
adjust the number of cached credentials via Group Policy, it's a Computer
Policy. I don't have GPE in front of me right now to tell you which one,
but look for it you'll find it. We've been using it for 2 years with our
laptop users and it works out very well.
