Single Quotes Around Name

I am using Outlook XP. I have some e-mails that were not received; some of the emails were replies so the address should have been right, right?. When I look in my Sent folder, the name name of the person I sent to is in single quotes. (example, 'John Smith' or '(e-mail address removed)') What does the single quotes mean? I can't find any documentation about it in Help.

I don't have an answer, but I have noticed the single quotes also. An interesting, but annoying thing is that when I then try to add the person to my contacts, it is filed with the quotation mark first. In other words, my name, Scott, would be filed as 'Scott', and would go to the very front of the contacts because it begins with ' and not S

Anyway, if I find out anything, I'll check back and let you know.
