Single click mouse

When I used Windows 98(2), I was able to open programmes
with a single click, but do not seem able to set up XP to
do the same, can anyone help?
 
Hi

Open Windows Explorer and go to Tools>Folder Options - 'Click items as follows'.
 
Open windows explorer then go to tools and click folder
options.Look at the bottom of the box and u should find
what u are looking for.
