simple file sharing

I,m running Windows XP home w/ service pack 2. I'd like to uncheck "use
simple file sharing" but I do not see this option when I go to My Computer,
Tools, Folder Options under the view tab. "use simple file sharing" is not at
the bottom of the list.

I'm getting an Access Denied error when try to look at folders on a drive
from an old PC.
