in folder options under the view tab , i do not have "use simple file
sharing". am i supposed to have it? i got xp home sp2
help me out if you can

Ok, I understand your question now. You didn't make it very clear. As has
been said several times in this thread, you cannot disable simple file
sharing in XP Home.
