Suddenly, when signing in to a subscribedwebsite
requiring a user ID and password, When I enter the user
id and password, the user ID changes to a HTTP://etc link
and the password is trashed as well. This used to work
correctly and now I am unable to sign in to my secure
site.
What can I look at to make this work properly again??

TIA, Bob

We are having the exact same problem with our XP
Professional program.Somehow our 128 bit security was
removed from our computer. We are trying to figure out
what to do about it too.Good luck and I will be watching
to see what advice you can get.Sorry that I could not be
of any help.

Consider the following info and if necessary, check out the links.

In Internet Explorer -
1. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
2. Scroll down to the Security Settings.
3. Make sure that the two boxes are checked that say
"Enable SSL 2" or "Enable SSL 3".
Try your secure sites.

Another thing you can try is:

Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll
