Signing back on after idle

At one time, I had my pc set up where after "x" amount of idle time, would
return to the log in window and require the administrator to enter the
password to start back to the pc ... at the point it was when idle time had
passed.

I have tried quite a few attempts at this myself, but have not been able to
set this up.

Can someone advise me of the way to the settings to return to that feature ???

--- Any assistance greatly appreciated ---

Try this,

Control Panel (Classic View) > Display Properties > Screen Saver tab > Place
a check mark for "On resume, password protect" and set the idle time in the
"Wait" box.

In the following KB article, perform the opposite. Instead of clearing the
checkmark box, place a checkmark in the box.

That's what I was missing doing.

You hit the nail on the hand.

Exactly what I needed.

I would give you a "green check mark" but some how, when I answer "yes" to
helpful post, it doesn't show up ...
