Nicola,

This is probably due to a BIOS problem and/or a registry issue.

Blue Screen Erros also referred as Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) is a critical
windows operating system error. It can be caused due to a corrupt registry,
bad DLL's or due to a physical dump of memory. When you boot up your
computer, Windows will create a memory dump file and then you see the
dreaded blue screen followed by either a complete computer shutdown or an
option to 'repair'

I suggest you try a registry clean (something like Registry Easy
http://www.registryeasy.com/ ). You can do a free online scan at the URL I
have provided here. If this shows registry errors, and you havent got a
registry tool, I suggest you obtain one and clean the registry. If the
problem persists after this, check the computer manufactures webiste for a
Vists compatible BIOS.

Hope this helps.
