signature does not appear in new messages

I created a signature to be automatically inserted in all messages sent from
a certain address, but the signature does not appear when I create a msg from
that address. I have read a post on microsoft about signatures not appearing
in reply/fwd msgs, but my sig doesn't even appear in new msgs. Word is
selected as my editor. I have shut down & restarted Outlook but it doesn't
help.

Never mind, I solved my problem after reading a similar post. The account to
which I was trying to assign a signature is not my default account, and
apparently a signature must be assigned to the default account first in order
for you to be able to assign a sig to other accounts.
