signature crashes outlook

Outlook crashes when trying to use a signature (when building a sig from
tools, options, signatures). I've tried re-installing, but as soon as I try
to put in a signature and get outlook to use it for new or replies outlook
crashes.
 
Which version of Outlook are we talking about here?
Did you use the Outlook editor to create the signature or the "Advanced
Editor"?
Which application do you have set as the Advanced Editor?
