outlook crashes everytime when I hit reply and the email contains.

Outlook 2003 crashes everytime I go to reply or forward an email that
contians a signature from the sender that is a static GIF signature. I have
update and run Outlook for errors but hose checks tell me there are no
issues. Any suggestions?

If you run Outlook in safe mode, does the behaviour continue?

start > run > outlook.exe /safe

no, in safe mode it does not crash, however I get a message that the active X
controls are set so that some material on the page may not show and the my
security level is to high
