sidewinder force feedback 3.02 not working on Xp

I'v got the same problem as darling Don. My 3.02 version
worked on 98SE but not on xp.. I've invested in 4 flight
games--microsoft flight combat sim: combat flight sim
2 :wwii pacific theater; flight sim 2000;& the new
century of flight- flight sim 2004.---What do you
recommend. I can't even download my 3.02 disc onto xp!!!!

Give this a try

Goto the Game Controller Control Panel
Then Add, Microsoft Sidewinder (auto-detect)...


Please note that any Profiling software that came with the gameport hardware
won't work as that was not designed for Windows XP (or 2000). There are
currently no
plans for updates.

As Gary said, just go into Game Controllers in Control Panel and Add the
controller. Windows XP already contains the basic drivers for your FF
controller. The reason you cannot install the 3.x version of the drivers is
they're written in the old *.vxd format which is not compatible with XP.
You lose the "profile" ability from that software, but can still change
buttons, etc., if your game supports it under Options.
