Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro

Is there a software available with which a user can modify the forces in the
joystick?

I would like to FORCE (*only) its auto-centre forces down because whenever
flying in Flight Combat Simulator (and other sims), the joystick fights
wildly to recentre itself when I am landing, causing me to crash! I've
somehow helped this problem by adjusting the deadzone in-game, but I HATE
having a shaky joystick when I am landing...

(Unplugging the the joystick, thus, cutting it's power to give FF also stops
the jerking, but I won't feel weather, canonfire etc. effects!)

Any software to control the forces are welcome!

*I said ONLY the auto-centre forces because I would like to keep the OTHER
forces (cannon fire, bullet hits, wind, etc) intact.

P.S. I wonder WHY Microsoft hasn't added its own program to allow users to
adjust the Force Feedback settings! Many other companies do!

Surely your question would be better put in the games or flight sim groups.
I cannot see this as a windows/hardware issue.
I know of no software that would allow adjustment to the FF for a different
application within a game or sim.
The adjustment in the sidewinder central control effects all FF effects
according to settings chosen. I cannot think of a way to have light FF say
in flight but increase FF effects for shooting/wind/turbulence etc.
If you do not have v4 of the software, which I believe was the last, and
which may give better control, then I know of no other software.
But MS no longer support sidewinder so don't know if v4 is still available.

If you are getting severe shaking during the landing procedure, then you
need to review your rate of descent and airspeed..
