Sick and Tired..

I recently updated my computer to XP Home and now my computer thinks that it
needs to lock up everytime it gets bogged down. Almost like it is running
tooo many things at once. I have about 1.1 gig of RAM and am kind of
dumbfounded. It;s been this way for about 2 months. I am also running
Norton 2006. I can't even run the full system scan because of the lock ups.
Any suggestion on what could be the culprit?

Lost in Iowa....

did you do a fresh install of xp or just upgrade from previous windows?
 
We did install the full version of XP not the upgrade and we have also
defragmented the drive and currently it is only about 1% fragmented (Did
this with Norton)
