Shutting Down

I am using Win XP Home...IE 6...ser pk 2...I use SpyBot S&D daily and NA daily.

Recently I had a trojan that caused me loads of problems. I have some of
them fixed, but I am still having trouble with shutting down applications.
No matter how I try to close them, I get the "end task" window. In some of
the applications, this is causing me to lose information.

And my IE has been so slow (I have cable); even worse, though, my IE has
just been going off...I mean, poof...it's shut down. Can anyone help me,
please?

Spybot won't catch everything.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
