Shutting down

I've been having some trouble with my IE 6.0. I'll be at a website, try to go
back or use a link, and it'll shut down. Just try to got to a new page and it
shuts down. Been getting a lot of error messages too, that it is not
responding. Any idea what may be doing this? I'm using a 30 trial Norton AV
and it shows nothing, and I ran Adware and it shows nothing either. Any
ideas? This is frustrating when you're not computer saavy Thanx.

Windows version?
Type "winver" (no quotes) from your Run > Dialog box, take note and post
back.
