Shuts down when I Save As

D

Hi,

I set up my new laptop, loading 1st FP 97 and then my FP 2000 upgrade. All
is working well until I try to create a new page. Whenever I click save as,
the program pops up an error message saying the program is shutting down.

I can not create any new pages or save any pages are save as. This is going
to cramp my style a bit...without a doubt. I can't afford to purchase the
2003 upgrade, and shouldn't have to I don't think. It doesn't have anything
I need that this version doesn't have. I have a feeling is that the culprit
is Windows NT. Anyone have any solutions? Any help would be greatly
appreciated. This is frustrating, especially since I had a full page
designed and ready to load when it happened and I lost the whole page. I
feel like crying...but then again, I'm watching the news about the disaster
in the south...and I feel like crying a lot these days.

Any help would be appreciated. I do hope the solution doesn't mean spending
more money. This laptop broke me!

I found the answer by experimentation. It wouldn't allow me to save a new
page in page view, but when I want up and changed it to folder view and then
highlighted the web name in the right colunm, right click, choose new page,
it created a new page in the folder view where I could rename it. Then I
could open that page from there and create what I wanted. It will save an
existing page from the page view..just not a new page. So create the new
page in Folder View.

Hope this helps someone..I was getting quit frustrated with this problem.

(Link goes to Google Groups Cache of the problem and solution. I am too lazy
to type it out again like you were too lazy to search Google first. :) )

When doing an upgrade install, it is often not needed to
install the earlier version- the installer will just ask for
the CD for the qualifing product before continuing
