shutdown when logging in

I recently installed xp on a new computer. When I get
online after a period of time a box pops up that tells me
that a Remote Procedure Call Service terminated
unexpectantly. Initiated by NT Authority/System. It
happens every time I get online. Anyh ideas what it is
all about? Thanks.
