I have created a shortcut with the following command: shutdown.exe -s.
Well it waits 20 seconds to shut down. What do I have to do for it to shut
down right away.

Thanks.

Remember the old DOS days when you had to park the HD? Fun times!

I did but you are too stupid. Try typing shutdown in help as you lack the
ability to use command line help.

shutdown.exe -s -t 00

If you type shutdown /? at a command prompt, it will show you a list of
all the switches and explain their functions.

He obviously was asking for help because he didnt know how to find the
answer.
I understand your method of trying to teach someone how to find the
information, but to call them stupid after that?

If you hold the power on buttun down for 3 to 5 seconds it will shutdown and
turn off immediately. Not a good idea but it IS fast.
