SHUTDOWN PROBLEMS

I'm running WinXP Pro.When going thru a normal
shutdown,the computer shuts down and then restarts by
itself.The only way it will shut down is with power
button. Anyone have any ideas what's causing this.

when i had shutdown problems recently (wouldn't shut off or
restart) i never did find out what caused the problems.
however i did discover that using a start up disk did get
it to work properly. don't ask me why. ws.
