shutdown problem with unfinished DVD recordable volume

After recording a DVD, I now have this error message when I try to shut down
the computer....Cannot complete system shutdown. There is unfinished
dvd/cd-recordable volume on the system. Please eject disc first before
shutting down the system. I have ejected the disc multiple times, but the
error message remains and will not let me shut down the computer. Any ideas
besides just pulling the plug.
 
well, you can force a shutdown. start.run, type

shutdown -f -s -t 00

but that is just a work around. You probably will need to find a better
driver for the burner to make it stop that error.
