I keep getting my computer shutting down and then text
comes up saying I am stuck in a continious (excuse
spelling) loop and tells me the problem is in nv4_disp.

Any advice how to corect?

That would be your nVidia drivers acting up on you. When your computer
boots up, press F8 and boot into Safe Mode. Go to the Control Panel and
open Add/Remove Programs. Remove your nVidia Forceware Driveers and then
reboot. Now Windows will load its own drivers and you can go back to
www.nvidia.com for the latest drivers. Download and install them and you
should be fine
