When I try to shut down or restart my computer (Toshiba Sattellite), appears a message saying that it is impossible to finish the program wudater.exe, or sometimes the CaPP program. How can I solve such a problem since I do not have the Windows XP CD-ROM (it came with my notebook). I also tried to reinstall Windows and restore system, but the problem still persist.

Can anybody help me please ?

This just means that the Automatic Windows Update was
downloading when you were logging off. If you have a 24/7
internet connection, I would suggest just leaving your
computer on for about a day and enable the automatic
updates to download and install. If you have dial-up,
disable the automatic update and download the updates from
another computer and burn them to a CD or DVD. Then, take
that to your computer and install it.

No, it doesn't. I did a Google search and it appears that wupdater.exe
is spyware.
