Hi,
I am seeking help, I have recently recovered my System from a homepage/popup
hijacking and i just want to say thank to all that help with the remedy.
Now i have removed the hijacking i am having trouble with shutting down or
restarting my system.
After i select Start>> Turn off Computer>> then select one of the options i
find that nothing happens until i run through the procedure a second time.

Can somebody tell me how i can cure this irritating problem?

Many Thanks in advance
Arioch

A Repair setup will probably fix it.

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)

Would you please clarify this for me please Mark? I have an upgrade of
XPHome with SP1 on it, but I have also created a slipstreamed CD to
include SP2. Is it OK to run the slipstreamed XPHome+SP1+SP2 or will I
still need to uninstall SP"?
Many thanks.
