SHTML file extension

Both IE and Netscape no longer recognize web pages with the SHTML
extension. When I request such a file they return the error message
'Unknown File Type' and offer only to save the file but will not open
it in the browser.

I have checked the settings for File Types in Explorer, the settings
are identical to those for HTML files, which are opened just fine.

What else can cause the browser to not recognize SHTML files??

I dont know the solution but maybe something is wrong in File Types
associations. Mine is like this :

Action:
Open

Application used to perform action:
"<full path of iexplore.exe>" %1

DDE Message:
"file://%1",,-1,,,,,

Application:
IExplore

DDE Application not running:
*

Well I changed the File Types settings to match yours, mine did not
have anything in the DDE Message field, but I still get the same
message in the browser about Unknown File Type.

This was working fine until recently, not sure what got changed.
Anyone have any clues??
