Show/Hide expand indicator

I'm used to seeing the expand indicator (+) for tables which have a one to
many relationship. One of my tables does not show this indicator in the
datasheet view and I can't find how to turn it back on.

Open the table
Select View
Select Subdatasheet
Select the table you wish to act as the sub data sheet

Wayne,
Subdatasheet is not available for this table. It is also not available when
I choose Datasheet / Records / More. The word datasheet is dim.

I meant to say the word subdatasheet is dim.

Is the table linked from another database? You cannot insert a
subdatasheet on a linked table.

I hope this helps.

Yes the table is linked to another linked table, but I have another two
tables that are linked and they show up fine with a subdatasheet.

Sorry Mary. My question was not whether the table was linked to
another table, but whether the table was a linked table from another
*database*. If you look at the table in the database window do you
see a small arrow to the left?

I understood what you meant. The 2 tables are linked from another database,
but so are 2 other tables which show up fine as a subdatasheet.

Thanks for that Mary. I too can see a linked table as a subdatasheet
in another table. However, when I open the table which is linked from
another db, the menu option Insert > Subdatasheet is grayed out. I
have not been able to reproduce that with any other series of steps.
