Show Font Size

I do a lot of formatting with tables.

When I go to the Table Group on the Ribbon to insert a new table, I then use
keystrokes to adjust the font size(s) on text that goes into the table.

In Word XP, I could see the font size immediately in the toolbar, but with
Word 2007 I have to add a click back to the Home Tab to see the current font
and size.

Is there any way for the Ribbon to automatically show the appropriate Ribbon
Group when I'm using keystrokes to adjust font sizes? The extra clicks are
annoying (and I use the keystrokes instead of the mouse as much as possible
for carpal tunnel reasons).

I feel like the Ribbon is designed to make carpal tunnel worse, but that's a
comment for another section.

Right-click the font size box on the Home ribbon (actually, you have to
click the down arrow next to the box to get the proper menu to appear) and
choose "Add to Quick Access Toolbar". The font size will now be visible at
all times and will update as you change sizes or move the cursor to
different sizes of text.

You can do this with any control on the ribbon that you want to keep
available. In addition, you can right-click the toolbar, choose Customize,
and look in the category "Commands Not In the Ribbon" for additional items.

An alternative would be to press Alt+H to switch to the Home ribbon so you
could peek at the font size, but then you'd need another one or more
keystrokes to return to the Table Tools or whatever else you're using.
