Just put in a new motherboard today, which caused me to have to do a repair
install of XP. During one of the many reboots when I was installing the
drivers for the new board, on shutting down one of those little windows
that says "ending program" came up with the title "should_not_see_me". I
just had time to memorize it before it went away. Then I wrote it down.
Have never seen it since, but I thought it was interesting...
This is my first Pentium 4. It's "only" 2.6 gig but it is as snappy as some
of the 3.? gig machines I've worked on.

sounds like a spyware program, try using adaware or spybot and see if they
pick anything up.

The NVIDIA Forceware driver installation popped up that box a few times on
my system as well (only during installations though). I don't think it
causes any problems. However, that box never popped up in the earlier
versions of the drivers.

It's not spyware related. I have heard about this message and it is in
Windows XP. I can't remember the details, but I am sure someone will follow
up with some.

The "should not see me" isn't anything to be worried about. It doesn't
always happen with video drivers (I've installed more video drivers
than I could count and have never seen it there, for instance), but I
have seen it when installing a version of EZ-Armor. It is of no
importance. Enjoy your new system.

It's not spyware - I recently had this pop up during an install of XP Pro as
well and this system had a freshly formatted drive and the network cable
hadn't been hooked up yet. I remember reading something about it quite a
while back but can't find it now. Probability is this is some code left
behind by the programmers during their testing of their code.

Thanks for all your comments. I really wasn't worried about it, but was
kind of curious if anyone else had ever experienced it. I was reasonably
certain isn't wasn't malware cause I keep my machines clean as a whistle.
