Should I Install Windows Installer 3.1

I have a Dell Dimension 8200 stand alone computer with windows XP Prof (SP2)
installed. I also have Windows Installer 3.0 installed as well. Should I
install Windows Installer 3.1? Thanks for any help, Sam.
