shortcuts wont work

What do I do to open shortcuts that take me only to print?

A right click tells me the file needed to open is missing -
it was smart explorer.exe I have tried to clear from my
pc following a bad experience with Gozilla.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply.

Using a shortcut to Google as an example.
The normal double left click on it instead of taking me to
Google gives me the 'Print' box.
A right click on the Google shortcut shows Print at the
top and Smart Explorer on the second line.
A left click on the Smart Explorer line results in a
panel "program cannot be found". "Windows cannot find
smart explorer.exe." "Type in the executable file to be
used instead."
The 'Smart Explorer" was uninstalled along with Gozilla it
came with.
System restore didn't do anything and I have backed up all
my files ready to go right back to the Restore CD that
came with the PC.
