But when I use procedure:
- put mouse on shortcut icon
- click with the right key on mouse
- choose Properties
- choose Find Target
- then appears window with open folder, where is marked file for
"explorer.exe"
- finally hit enter on keyboard;

it works without any troubles. After this procedure the shourtcut in
quicklunch works also okay. How can I eliminate such behaviour?

Thanks for any sugestion!

Go to Start > Run > msconfig > Click OK then choose "Diagnostic startup" >
Click OK > restart
If the problem is solved then open msconfig and on services tab, Click Enable all
then reboot and check. If ok then open msconfig , on the startup tab - tick one(or
two) item(s) at a time then reboot and check.

Unfortunately, the option of deleting is not useful.

Not sure what you mean by that. Did you try it? If so what was the
outcome? Did you recreate a new shortcut? What troubleshooting steps have
you tried? We can't see your computer, only you can. You need to provide
some info so folks can try to help you.

Yes, of course, I tried this several times - erase it and then create new
one. I tried with three different ways. Each time I created new shortcut in
folder "C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe", then placed it as following:
1.) drag the new shortcut with mouse from C:\WINDOWS folder directly into
Quick Lunch bar;
2.) drag the new shortcut with mouse from C:\WINDOWS folder directly on
desktop;
3.) copy or cut new shortcut icon in folder C:\WINDOWS and then paste it
into folder C:\Documents and Settings\DK\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch;

but always useless, it still does not work. As I already mentioned in my
previous massage, the procedure, how to make conection to file explorer.exe
and then works everything. But next time when I open computer, it is the same
story. It does not work.

I have got also one reply from Ayush as folowing:

"Go to Start > Run > msconfig > Click OK then choose "Diagnostic
startup" >
Click OK > restart
If the problem is solved then open msconfig and on services tab, Click
Enable all
then reboot and check. If ok then open msconfig , on the startup tab - tick
one(or
two) item(s) at a time then reboot and check."

The 1st step in above mentioned massage eliminate the problem, but 2nd not
any more, I do not undestand...?

Maybe the problem is still in register. I have used software "TweakNow
RegCleaner Std" to clean mistakes in register, but obviously this is not
enough. Maybe this software is not strong enough to eliminate all mistakes in
register.

You didn't say before that you used a registry cleaner. These are snake oil
products. They are not needed, and often times cause more problems than
they solve. If there is an undo function with this product then undo to the
point where this problem started. Also have you tried a system restore to
before the problem occurred?

If those things don't work then do a repair install:
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

And stop using a registry cleaner.

After doing the first step, got to msconfig then in services tab, enable items one
by one and reboot. Do this with all items in Services tab and then in Startup tab. If
after ticking a item, the problem appears, you have to something with it..remove that
program or tell us the name.

Ok, I will not use any registry cleaner any more. What regards restore point
- I have used it, but problem still apperas. About your web connection - this
is for me too complicated, sorry. Thanks for all your advices anyway.
However, I found out the location of the such kind trroubles on basis of
Ayush's advice, which tells:

"> "Go to Start > Run > msconfig > Click OK then choose "Diagnostic
startup" >
Click OK > restart

The problem is in program "Cryptographic services" in tab Services of System
configuration utility. The path to get this is: got to start > Run > type
"mcconfig" and hit ok > then appears "System configuration utility" window >
then in tab Services you can find program "Cryptographic services". If this
program is turned off, shortcuts work ok. How can I repair this program?

Hi,
I found out the program which, does not work correctly and disturbs
shortcuts function. The name is "Cryptographic services" in tab Services of
System configuration utility window. How can I subdue it? Can I erase it or
uninstall it? What kind of function carries this program in operating system?

This service is not important*. You can disable it (my msconfig).

Interesting. Here is a link to a description about what this service does.

http://www.theeldergeek.com/cryptographic_services.htm

What if you set it's startup type to manual instead of automatic? From
start | run type in services.msc, click ok. In the right pane of the
services console look for the service. Double click it and set the startup
type to manual. If running stop it.

Does this cure the problem? I would be hesitant to disable this service.

You could do a repair install which I gave you the link for in a previous
post, unless Ayush has some suggestions.

I do not know, if this is good an idea. I suspect that this is not
recomendable to have it disabled simply all the time.

Maybe I should use some special Microsoft's program for repairing or
impoving Windows system, for example "Advanced WindowsCare Personal
2.3.0.726". I know that I should not use any registry cleaner program, but
anyway. What do you think about this one? Basically this is not registry
cleaner.

Unfortunately this does not cure the problem. After change in services
console which had been made, I tried to run Explorer shortcut, but useless. I
restarted the computer then, and got the same problem.

Ok then create a system restore point, then disable the service and test it
for awhile to see if there are any adverse affects. The other option which
I have mentioned before, is to do a repair install.

As to Advanced WindowsCare Personal 2.3.0.726, I am not familiar with it,
however I am very skeptical of any program that purports to be a one click
fix all program. Also it might have elements of a registry cleaner. Tweak
programs such as a this, in my opinion, are a waste of money and might cause
harm.

I have used completely another way and it works. I just went to windows
folder, found explorer.exe file, marked it, with right click of musse made a
copy of it and finally paste it on the desktop and drag it into quicklaunch
space. Actually there are now two files explorer.exe on the system. However,
this icon is not shortcut - it it program. I hope that this will not cause
any new troubles.

I was thinking and found out that maybe this kind of behaveior of shortcut is
just consequence of "errorsafe" tracking program, which had been eliminated
on my computer. After elimination the strange behaveior started. Maybe I
should mentioned this at first. I am just guessing...
