Shortcut to Windows Mail

I have just purchased a new laptop that came with Windows Vista installed.
I purchased the Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 software package which
was installed at the point of purchase. I just called sympatico to set up
my email account and everything seems to be working. I wanted to put a
shortcut icon for my email on my desktop screen but the customer service
rep. said this could not be done and in order to access email I willl need
to go into Start and press the windows flag and the r key. I have to
believe there is a quicker way to get to my mail and was hoping you could
help.

Thanks

TC

If the Windows Mail icon isn't already on your Quick Launch bar,
you can add it: Start, All Programs, right-click on Windows Mail,
select "Add to Quick Launch" and/or "Pin to Start Menu". You can
also drag a copy of the Quick Launch icon to the desktop.
