shortcut to outlook express is not working

This shortcut is not working, when i click a mail
hyperlink in ie6 outlook does not appear. I ran for virus
and spy and adware- nothing, internet options i cant
choose the program outlook express, what do i have to do
now ?!

Can anyonehelp me ?!

What exactly happens when you choose "Outlook Express" from the Internet Explorer, Programs tab?
