Shortcut issues

I tried to double click on a shortcut for a program on my desktop and an
error popped up that said:

Problem with Shortcut
Parameter error

I look in the add/remove programs and cannont find the program listed. I
have not removed it or changed it and it's a pretty important program. Does
anyone know of a fix or why this is happening?

What do you see if you right-click the shortcut and look at
Properties? What is showing in the Target?

It says:

Target type: application
Target location: no answer
Target: blank, not information

I am not surprised you get an error if there is nothing in Target.
Why not try putting a valid Target in?
