Shortcut denies access

Subject: Desktop shortcut denies access

When an installed Program puts a shortcut on my desktop,
and I attempt to use it, I am denied access and get this
message:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or
file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to
access them."

Note:I'm using Windows XP Pro / I am the Administrator
and only user/ I have NOT installed a network.

Help Please!

Assuming you can otherwise run the application, I would suspect that for some reason
the shortcut does not point to the right path. You can look in the properties of the
shortcut to see if the path is correct. --- Steve
