Shopping cart

This is new, and it happened suddenly, on two different
computers. I'm running XP. I can't put more than one
item in a shopping cart, not at any site. Each subsequent
item replaces, rather than adds to, the previous item. In
other words, I can only buy one item. On my other
computer I downloaded Netscape as a test, and that worked
fine, so it has to be some new patch in IE. Right now I'm
on a new computer, completely clean Windows installation,
which worked fine for a few days then reverted to the "one
item" shopping cart again. I tried to d/l Netscape, the
d/l went fine, it installed fine, but it won't open. No
error messages, no apparent problems, it just doesn't
open. I don't care about Netscape (although I'd like to
know why it won't run), but how can I get IE to let me
shop again?

Possible cause, when you visit the website the first time,
they set a cookie on your computer to identify your
shopping card. When increasing security such as firewall
or cookie block, the same website cannot update the cookie
and will read it "as-it". Changing your cookie security to
default could solve the problem.

Thanks, since this was a new installation, cookies were
already at default. That was my first thought too, when my
other computer started doing this, so I have already
played cookie games with IT and couldn't fix it there
either. I tried your advice though and went in and
specified one particular site to always allow, then
restarted & tried again, no luck. I still can't add
items.
