Shift + Ctrl + arrow buttons not working to select cells?

I am not able to select cells using Shift+Ctrl+arrow buttons. How can I fix
this?
 
Hi,

Is this happening while you are building a formula or just selecting?

1. On some computers the Right and Left Ctrl keys don't do the same thing.
2. If nothing else works you can use Shift+End+arrow keys.

I am having the same problem as well, me and my colleague changed the same
new keyboard. He is using fine for the fast key while I can only use the
shift+end+arrow keys. I am thinking if the excel program is messed up or
not?

p.s. me and my colleage are using the same model of computer as well.
