Ctrl+Arrow Key and Ctrl+Home not working as it is meant to be

When I press Ctrl + left or right arrow key it moves to the next 16th cell.
and again when i press the same it moves to the next 16th cell. Ctrl + Arrow
moves in batches of 16 cells. There is no data in between. But the Ctrl +
Down arrow key goes down to the last cell. A65536. Similarly my Ctrl+home
goes to the 1st column of the respective row; but when I press Home key alone
it goes to cell A1. Could anybody be able to find out why it is behaving
like that.
